Our strategic plan for our local healthcare system starts with you, our residents.
We have listened to your concerns and your desires for the healthcare system. The honest opinions of our residents, both good and bad, is our compass.
In putting our Plan together we had the opportunity to look at how far we have come in the last seven years. We even surprised ourselves with the results. Our local healthcare system has improved a great deal. But there is still a great deal more to do. That is why we’ve set big goals for the next three years.
This Plan is a collective commitment from the Waterloo Wellington LHIN and our health service providers, setting out the work that will be done over the next three years to improve, challenge and change the current system so that you will get the right care, at the right place, at the right time.

This Environmental Scan was prepared for use by all Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) as a key background paper for each LHIN’s third Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP).
This directly contributes to an understanding of the status of many important health system attributes and allows for data comparisons between the LHINs.
