Local hospitals, in partnership with the Waterloo Wellington Community Care Access Centre, have implemented Home First, which makes going home from hospital, where most people want to go, the first option. The WWLHIN, working with local health service providers, is focused on enhancing quality care and improving patient safety. Two key areas include reducing Emergency Department wait times, and reducing Alternate Level of Care days.
